Pearl is the youngest foal born to Captain here with us. Her mother usually only has colts, so we were all the more delighted when Pearl came into the world. And to top it off, she has an absolutely gorgeous coat—black with a white blaze. It was just as we'd hoped. So we found a name pretty quickly. Pearl was Captain's mother's name, but we wanted Captain's name in there too, so we even skipped our usual "Roan."
Her personality is absolutely sweet. Cuddling is very important to her—she's happy to wait patiently until we have time. She's quite self-assured and calm, but she can also put her foot down when she needs to.
We're incredibly happy to have been given this sweet little mouse—and she truly lives up to her name!
